All the paintings shown on this website are original one of a kind oil works by Casey Laurent. Most of the landscapes are from the Island of Jersey which are all signed by the artist and more recently dated on the front of each painting. Some paintings on board are either framed, which means its ready to hang, or unframed and can be framed by either the artist or the buyer. All canvas paintings are painted around each edge and are ready to hang.
I have always taken a keen interest in creative studies from a very early age but really progressed my drawing and painting skills at Les Quennevais Secondary school. This was under the guidance of my art teacher and current deputy head Peter Jones. I then went on to study art at Hautlieu School where I was really able to concentrate on painting while also creating chalk and pastel drawings of various seascapes. While being taught by my art teacher Jackie Rutter I knew Art was a subject I wanted to commit to long term.
After A-level I went straight to University and gained a diploma and BA Honours degree in Fine art from the Arts Institute Bournemouth graduating in 2011.
In 2018 I graduated from a PGCE Secondary School Art and Design degree from Brighton University. I also had a brief spell teaching Art and Design in Greater London following my PGCE.
Throughout various educational placements I have used most of my spare time studying and painting my surrounding environment in Jersey.
I have been drawn to the colours of different times of the day such as dusk and dawn, in particular the blue and golden hours. I find going out before sunrise or just before sunset particularly rewarding as the colours change dramatically over the space of a couple of hours. The unique beauty and charm of Jersey gives me an opportunity for new ideas, with dramatic tide and weather changes allowing me to create something new. Using a mixture of painting outdoors and studio work, I aim to produce paintings which evoke feelings of atmosphere and memories, while using my imagination to manipulate colour and subject matter. All of the paintings on this website were created with oil paints. I love the way the medium blends together and gives my paintings both depth and a richness in colour.
All limited edition prints are giclee prints of previous paintings created by Casey Laurent. Each printed on premium quality textured paper, then bordered in an off white/beige or white mount. Each description explains the total size of the image, then the total size of the mount.
All prints are limited edition to 200 hundred only. Each print is numbered, titled and signed on the front by the artist. Free delivery to all Jersey Residents.

Overseas orders
If you are purchasing from the U.K or overseas please contact the artist directly to get a quote for shipping costs. To ensure safe transportation all prints will be protected with a hard board backing, wrapped and sealed.
